Kevin Love Minnesota Timberwolves Expectations Luis Scola Stomping Incident Nba

Kevin Love has high expectations for the Minnesota Timberwolves this season. The 24-year-old is only getting better, but he sees big things for the entire team in the very near future. In September, he made waves by suggesting that the Wolves are a playoff team, and he stands by that declaration.Kevin Love joined Paul Allen on KFAN in Minneapolis to discuss his high hopes for the Wolves, his relationship with Luis Scola after their controversial moments in 2011-12, and LeBron James as a person. On his declaration that he’d be surprised if the Wolves missed the playoffs:“I’m definitely excited about the prospects of this team. I came out a few weeks ago, a couple weeks ago, and said, ‘Hey, I think this team is poised and ready to make the playoffs.’

And I know a lot of people had things to say about that, but I just wanted to create positive reinforcement in the locker room. And I think that if guys really buy in, then that should be our goal. Because you saw what we did last year with still a very youthful team. And now we cleaned up the locker room, we’re about to come out and really make things happen this year.”On his relationship with Luis Scola after a controversial stomping incident between the two last season:“We wouldn’t go grab a beer but we have mutual respect for each other, obviously. The play that happened last year was a big deal, but after the game he was showing me clips of his kids on video talking trash about me and to me. So that was pretty funny. But it’s all in the past and when we play the Rockets, I hope we stomp them on the scoreboard.”On LeBron James as a person:“LeBron’s awesome. Everybody on that [Olympic] team was great, all the way from our youngest player, Anthony Davis, all the way through to Kobe Bryant.”
