Mike Tyson Justin Beiber Terrell Owens Crazy Interview

Mike Tyson on Voting, T.O.’s Fall From Grace and Training with Justin Beiber
June 1, 2012 – 10:45 am by Michael Bean
It’s Mike Tyson. There’s no sense in introducing the guy, and it’s typically futile to try to set the stage because the conversation always bounces around unpredictably across a wide range of topics. The following is no different, though much of it centers around Terrell Owens and his recent fall from grace financially and professionally.

Tyson joined 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia with Mike Missanelli to talk about how his recent boxing session with Justin Bieber, how Bieber has some skills hitting the bag, Terrell Owens’ recent appearance on the Dr. Phil show, his thoughts on T.O.’s financial situation and if it reminds him of what he went through earlier in life, why he doesn’t think T.O. deserves any sympathy, his recent appearance on an Argentinian dancing competition, why he doesn’t think about memories from his boxing career, the ability to finally vote after being excluded from the process due to his felony convictions, and who he is planning to vote for this upcoming election.
Whether it’s true that he’s teaching Justin Bieber how to box:
“No! Who said that? That’s not true. I know people think that because they saw him hitting the bag, but he knew how to box before we put on some gloves. I mean, I was just joking saying ‘c’mon, hit the bag, let’s see what you’ve got, yeah hit!’ And he put on the gloves and starting tearing up the bag.”
Can Bieber box at all?
“Yeah he does have enough skills.”
On T.O.’s recent appearance on Dr. Phil and T.O.’s financial woes:
“Well, listen, I can only say about myself.  It took a good 18, 20 years for me to go broke, but he got broke pretty quick. It happened quick! We saw him, heard about him signing this contract, but from what you told me, he busted his whole bill. That can happen man when you take liberties for granted.”
If he thinks the upbringing he and T.O. experienced played a role in the kind of quick rise and fall:
“Oh, man, he’s not even in my same league as far as getting blood sucked. He’s not even in my league. But we’re talking about this issue, so, yeah, they’re out there. But in order to get your blood sucked, you have to be in position to want to suck some blood too. Even the con cons the con because he wants to con somebody.”
If he thinks people should feel sorry for T.O. for his fall from grace:
“No, we should have no sympathy for him, he’s a grown man. We should be jealous and pissed off he has so much goddamned fun. Shoot! That’s what we should be jealous about. Listen, this is one thing. When you’re living that life you think you’re a big boy — and this is one thing I learned when I was rolling like a big boy — I said ‘don’t worry about it, I can handle it, I’m a big boy.’ Big boys have big responsibilities and big circumstances.”
If he thinks T.O. made a mistake by making an appearance like that where he had to have known he’d face criticism:
“I don’t know, I don’t know why he would want to do that because that’s just a bomb waiting to explode right there. But I don’t know. He did the right thing he believed for the circumstances. All I know is he did what he thought was best for him, and I know he’s not feeling good about himself right now, but you get over it and life goes on.”
Does he know Owens?
“I don’t know him. I know he can’t be broke because he’s a bad guy. He’s broke because he didn’t know what was going on.”
On his recent appearance on an Argentinian dancing show:
“Oh, didn’t I kick butt?!? I kicked butt on the show!”
On what his favorite career memory is:
“I don’t even think of my career! I don’t know. Never.”
Who he’s going to vote for:
“Hey, I don’t know. I need to figure that out. Because I’m not sure I’m a Democrat and I don’t know I’m a Republican. I don’t know what I am. But I want to vote, and I wanted to say I voted for a black president and he did the right thing. But if he’s a black president or a white president, this is what I’ve know all my life — whether it’s a black president, an independent, a Republican, I’ve always made it, I’ve always survived. You know what I mean? So I have to look at things from a broader perspective beyond myself. I survive no matter who the leader of this particular government is, and we have to look at them and I have to make sure that thousands and thousands and millions and millions of people say the same thing, regardless of who the president is. But I survive, and that’s why it’s so important to vote, because you have to vote for someone who’s going to help you survive, someone you believe is going to help you survive.”
